Re: fleetwood?

My wife and I looked at Fleetwoods several years ago before we purchased our Southern Energy home. We were NOT at all impressed with the construction or the quality of the home and the trim. They were doing a tape and texture on the home at the time, so the interior walls were exposed. I'd recommend...

Re: Accessible Mobile Home

When we purchased our new MH we had them install 32" and 36" interior doors. We also had a wheelchair ramp put in when we had the deck installed. Neither of us are in a wheelchair but there is always that possibility considering our age and disabilities. When you go to look at MH, make sur...

Re: Deer Valley

First of all are you getting an upgraded insulation package with 2x6 exterior walls or the standard insulation package with 2x4 exterior walls? Are you getting dual pane windows or single pane win...

Re: ratings on homes

Re: Buying from a private seller

If the home is located in a park, do your research not only on the home but on the park as well. Be aware of all the park rules and regulations and talk to current park residence. Make yourself aware of both the good and bad points of living in a park as opposed to having a MH on your own land. Also...

Re: Dealer wants Cash up Front

If I understand the Palm Harbor sales pitch correctly, they pride themselves on factory owned dealers and factory trained installation people. Should anything go wrong, that would eliminate the finger pointing, (i.e. dealers fault, installation crew's fault, factory fault.) If someone who is not a P...

Re: Ant Problem, Please Help

I think you need a new pest control person. We had an ant problem in our home. The pest control man came out, sprayed inside and outside and put out some bate. We had to call him back again and he went under the house and sprayed all the skirting both under the house and the outside of the skirting....
