Re: New roof on 60 by 28 double wide.
This does create a condensation problem for the reason you suggest. Even though your local building inspector approves this roof it would void the hud approval of your home.

Re: Deer Valley
Deer Valley is std with 2 x 4 interior walls. But they are 24" o.c.. The materials used in a Deer Valley are quality materials, but their workmanship often is not the greatest. If you pay close attention to things like the way moldings are mitered and the drywall is finished, they don't quite m...

I would discourage a roof over in a coastal area, they don't usually fare well in hurricanes. Window replacements can help if properly installed. Depeneding on the age of your home. you might want to think about replacing the a/c and furnace with newer, more efficient models. Also, for the summer co...

Any reputable dealer is proud to give references of happy homeowners. Talk to communit...

Re: Oak Creek Homes
Even with well trained set crews and a knowledgeable retailer, disputes over responsibility for problems often come up. And you won't have the knowledge and experience to make your case. Or the order volume to hang over the factory's head that a retailer has. It's not that anybody is dishonest or tr...

Re: New Subfloor
None of the lumber used in building the floor is pressure treated, so pressure treated would be overkill. And you are better off using a sanded plywood intended for a subfloor especially if you install vinyl flooring.

Re: New Subfloor
If the subfloor is in reasonably good condition, you can. I would remove the existing vinyl so that you can inspect the floor. If there are soft or water damged areas you should cut them out and replace them. Also, if the floor has swelled, if there peaks and valleys in the floor, you should cut it ...
