Re: Donating a mobile home 4bd, 2bth

Shree, You may want to check local zoning to see if they will allow a manufactured home to be placed on your property. You may also want to check into the cost of the tear-down of the home in California, the cost of transporting it from California to New York, and the cost of set up on your property...

Re: The Top 10 Mobile Home/ Manufactured Home Builders

David, we did many years of research and read both of Grissim's books twice before we finally bought our home. We were looking in Alabama, Oklahoma, and finally Louisiana so many of the homes listed in the books were not available in these markets. We ended up purchasing a Southern Energy Home (made...

Re: The Top 10 Mobile Home/ Manufactured Home Builders

I presume these are the Top Ten in number of units sold, not necessarily the Top Ten in quality.

Re: trusting dealers

My wife and I bought a Southern Energy home from Greg Tilley's in Bossier City, LA about 2 1/2 years ago. We are very pleased with the home and the great response by both the dealer and SE in response to resolving the minor problems we had during the first year. I can highly recommend a Southern Ene...

Re: Manufactured Homes Blue Book or Values Guide

Are you folks trying to find the value of the home "where is as is," set up in a park, or on a parcel of land that is included? If the home is " where is as is" remember there will be additional $$ you will have to pay for the property and set it up. If it is in a park, remember ...

Re: How to get lien released when company bankrupt

You need a lawyer. The manufacturer of the home may have been defrauded and if they are still in business may try to recover it.

Re: roaches from a discarded sofa

I highly recommend you get a professional pest control company. They will spray both inside and outside your home. Get a monthly or quarterly service contract with them and they will keep your home bug free. Both roaches and ants are very difficult to get out and keep out. PS I do NOT recommend Term...

Re: Are Commodore homes still an 8 rating?

I wouldn't buy ANY home from a dealer that is going out of business. Sounds like he just wants to sell the homes he has on the lot to minimize his losses when he shuts his doors. I highly recommend finding another dealer. I know the next nearest Commodore dealer is 200 miles away but there are other...

Re: adhesive tiles coming up

I am no expert but I live in Northwest Louisiana so I know where you are coming from with the heat and humidity. You should not be having condensation on your windows either in the summer or winter. That could be an indication of to much humidity inside the home. Perhaps your air conditioner is not ...
