The short answer is NO... Most carports are pan roofs that hang on aluminum posts and beams. How is yours constructed ????

Why do you want to add another layer of decking ?

What kind of composite decking your thinking about? Many types would be unacceptable for exterior use.

When the attorney closed the sale/purchase he should have issued you a title insurance policy on the real-estate.
