Re: What were they thinking?

What were/are YOU thinking? You must have looked at the home prior to purchase, if you did not like why did you buy it. I doubt this was part of the original design but probably done by one of the many previous owners of this 41 year old home. What would make you think that any of the original desig...

Re: mh title issue

You should file a complaint with CFPB @ http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

From what I read banks pay lots of attention to these folks..

Re: mh title issue

Of course you cannot move the home till Atlantic is paid off. Time to raise the heat with Chase. They are the ones at fault here unless original closing attorney failed to retire the title properly but Chase should have sent paid notice to DMV as soon as lien is released. The closing attorney should...

Re: mh title issue

I am a bit confused, in the first post you mentioned Chase was asking for proof of payoff but then later mentioned Chase has no balance and have purged all documents of your account. I am still not clear why Chase is asking anything at this late date. With No balance and no documents I am wondering ...

Re: Free or abandon moblie homes

GA counties have extensive zoning regulations concerning MH parks, the facts that there was one on the property in the past does not mean it can be there now. Also your counties health department will have to approve the sanitation system as well. Most likely septic tanks are no longer acceptable. I...

Re: Replace Older Mfg Home with New?

Often dealers trade but value will be adjusted for the very high costs of moving.

It may or may not be possible to use current foundation. Most likely a new one will be called for. A professional set crew will know the current requirements.

Re: 1969 GLE in New Mexico

WOW you have much more info than most have on 45 year old homes..This home is pre HUD and no permanent records will exist anymore. You would not be wrong just calling it a GLC model of GLE. Be sure you hold on to title just in case you want to sell it. The state most likely no longer has a copy. Gla...

Re: mh title issue

I presume you have checked the title with the title office and they are the ones who say lien is still on it..If so the closing attorney should be able to supply copies of canceled checks for any activity in his escrow account. These accounts are highly regulated by the authorities. At the time of c...

Re: mh title issue

I live in your area...Did you disclose your outstanding balance at chase On your application for refi? Your first stop should be the attorney. Your closing documents should disclose every payment made in your behalf from your mortgage proceeds. Title searches will ONLY disclose property liens not li...

Re: mobile home issues

Every state with titles has laws about when titles are required. Most states require titles within 30 days. If the park was selling homes they probably were required to have a dealer license. I am not sure which government agency in NY handles dealer complaints but you should find out and complain t...
