John, what is your website? I too have the 2006 edition and it has helped some of my friends in their seach as well as ours. Still have not bought as still trying to sell our house and scale down. Florida's housing market is in the tank still.
Thanks
Sue

Re: FHA Financing on manufactured home/land
Thank you so much. You made it so much clearer and now I understand. I am sorry I posted this question twice but didn't think my first question had gone through. You guys are awesome with all your great answers to help us folks out here who are not "savy" to the ways of the manufactured ho...

why do they say if you own your own land and want to buy a new home that you have to finance the land (that you already own and have already paid for) along with your home? This makes no sense to me at all. I understand that the land will be used for collateral but to have to pay for it again just d...

Seems to me that you would be paying for your land twice..................doesn't make sense to me at all. I know you would use the land as collateral but why eithe...

Re: Skyline models in Ocala Florida
Who is the best dealer what carries Skyline's in Ocala, Florida. I have called one factory place but unable to find numbers for the other factory there. If anyone out there has an info on the best person or dealership to deal with, please let me know.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Manufactured home questions
I am also looking at skyline, would you mind sharing the name of the dealer in Ocala that you worked with? Did you get any prior references or just the factory recommendation? I would think that is a number one recommendation.............

Re: grissom buyers guide
Oh my gosh, how wonderful that you are able to give us names of dealers. Our experience has been like dealing with used car salesmen and thanks to John's book, we have encountered every one of his "warnings" more often than I care to think about. It has certainly left a scare in us that is...
