If the data plate is missing (should be around electrical panel, in kitchen cabinet, or in bedroom closet), you can order a new one for $100 here:

It depends on the zoning. Check with your local county or municipality. Some places allow them in residentially zoned areas, others don't.

Look into dealers in your area first. Look them up bbb.org, ripoffreport.com, and even read reviews on google. Ask anyone you know locally about their reputation. Finding a reputable dealer and installer is the most important thing. More problems are caused by poor installation and finishing then ar...
