Re: Ceramic Tile on Particleboard Subfloor
I will try to be of help here as I am a Lowes employee with 2 years in the flooring dept. First off the 1/2" backer board you have purchased is really intended as a replacement for drywall in the tub/shower area. Typically 1/4" backer board is used on wood or particle board floors. Normall...

Re: MH Destroyed in Transit! Now What?
SAD STORY BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL HAVE A HAPPY ENDING. AS FOR VISITING THE FACTORY, IF I WERE YOU I WOULD INSIST ON BE ALLOWED TO BE THERE THE DAY OF THE SECOND BUILDING OF YOUR NEW HOME. IT IS TO THEIR BENEFIT AS MUCH AS IT IS TO YOURS. IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE ON THE FIRST BUILD , THE FLOORING ISSUE WO...

Re: Replacing Hood Above Stove
Looks Great... Be sure to get charcoal filters to help get rid of the cooking odors.
The ones that came with your new hood may be aluminum, which are for use with vented hoods and won't elimanate food odors. Be Happy and good luck.

Re: price negotiable?
Actually, at this time especially, just about everything is negotiable. The hardest part may just be getting a mortgage as that market is getting very tough on just who they are willing to lend to. Where I live in N.W. Florida getting a mortgage on a used MH on a a piece of property, you cannot get ...

Re: laminate flooring

I am unaware of any laminate that uses particle board as a substrate and I have been working in the flooring de...
