I am just not satisfied with the abs typical 1-5 piece surrounds I find for the 54" x 27" tubs for my manufactured home either online or at local mobile home parts store. Is there a more durable alternative available at say Lowes, Menards etc. that would be used in this standard MH tub siz...

New Shower Head Location

I am redoing bath and have question as to placement of the shower head. Can its supply tube and it pass through the tub surround piece, or must it run through drywall only above the edge of the tub surround? The old installation was above the surround, but for some reason seems to be cleaner to me a...

Replacement Tub in MHome

I am looking to purchase 54" tub. Supply shop in town has one for around $425 and says its fiberglass. Menards sells a Lyons brand that they state is fiberglass for $250.

I am looking for a quality product to last, but am unsure what to do as I have not heard of Lyons.

thanks

A new fixture I am installing has brass ends. Is it possible to connect this to a plastic piece on the supply side? OR, is it possible to connect a wire mesh hose connector (with metal ends/bolts) to a plastic compression fixture with threads? Can I connect a metal 1/4 shutoff valve (with 1/2 nut) t...

Re: New Subfloor

THanks for the info.

Does it matter if I use pressure treated plywood or not? I was thinking this would be better longer term given its resistance to water?

New Subfloor

In a 1989 2x MFHome, I am putting in new bath, toilet etc. Have some floor spots to replace. Wondering if cutting/tearing out is too much work, and I could simply lay over 1/4 exterior plywood over existing linoleum, then put linoleum, floor tile, or floating floor over the exterior plywood? Are the...
