Your center beam could be anything from 2 x 6 lumber, or larger or maybe microlam engineered beams, or made from mutiple lawyers of glued up plywood. Bottom line, the manufacturers don't build these beams heavier then they need to.So to be safe, DON'T HANG ANYTHING FROM YOUR CENTER LINE BEAM!

I inspected them for the government contractor that inspects manufactured home factories. There were not too many plants that did a good job, but for the most part, Palm Harbor did. except the plant in or around Arlington TX. they were bad.

From my experience, Palm Harbor is one of the most reputable manufacturers out there. They do try to be fair!

I know both plants first hand, Neither is exceptional, both are OK. If you are looking for a middle of the road home, they are fine. But don't except a high end home.
