We own a few rental homes ranging in age from 1998 to 2003 - and when we remodel, the carpet & vinyl has always been run under the walls. Given us some extra vinyl when we didn't expect it in closets and such, but overall it's a pain. Best solution we've found is to leave it under the walls and ...

Mari, as a Realtor and MH park owner in coastal NC, I can offer some information on buying here (it may vary in other areas). I'm a real estate agent in NC, and have to agree with murray about the attorney. If you're set on this lot, it certainly doesn't sound like the dealer would watch out for your best interests.
