Ask the dealer to show you the list of materials for each type house(ie mod/manuf). The extra costs for the mod upgrade may be recovered at resale time and maybe peace of mind. It may make a difference if you plan to add on to the building. Structually, the cement wall foundation would be better off than the individual support posts and may help keep the tape and texture walls from showing any cracks. Purchased a Patriot bluebonnet Mockingbird fully modular home. It has been a couple years now and the fit and finish is still impressive. Very energy efficient and the quality of work has exceeded stick built homes in my area. It is a Patriot of Texas product.

Probably need to research the brand/model and condition of each to determine how much additional money would need to be spent for the unknowns after move in. I would probably go for the newer model since it may be more energy efficient and require less maintenance. Newer models may have vinyl window...
