gray plastic plumbing pipe

Would like to install a new kitchen faucet in home with gray plastic plumbing pipe. Is there anything I should know beforehand. I also need to install shutoff valves under the sink. Also,If you know, please tell me why the gray pipe was replaced with white in many homes.

It is 90" to the ceiling. Since posting I've found the standard door jamb is 4 9/16" deep (thick). Sounds like it will work out.

I'd like to cut in a new pre-hung exterior door. My unit is a 1985 Kaufman & Roberts. My question is this, can I use a 30" or 32" X 80" door made for a stick built house? My walls are 4 1/2" inches thick. I assume stick built houses have thicker walls. It's not the door that ...

Duh, all I had to do was pull the door bottom further into the room. That allowed me to take the rollers out of the top track. In the middle of a paint job and got frustrated.

Closet Sliding Door Removal

This shouldn't be a problem but it is. How do I remove sliding closet doors. I've released the sliders from the bottom track and swung the door toward the room. The upper rollers don't look like they are meant to come out of the tracks and the adjustment screws under the rollers won't release the do...

Two rooms and one bathroom in my house have drop ceilings with insulation above. The ceilings don't get all that warm considering the outside temp is 95.
