Fairmont Homes Financial Situation
In one of the previous posts Fleetwood & Patriot Homes financial problems were discussed and sounded bad. Does anyone know the how stable Fairmont Homes is at this time?

housing slowdown
With the current slowdown in the sales & building of new homes it seems the demand for material would also decrease. Do you think the cost of material and in turn the cost to build will bring the price of a new manufactured home down any in the future?

I should have been more specific about the size. This is a 30x60 Douglas Manor stretched out to a 30x68. The floor joists are 16" oc. It will not be over a basement and the flooring would be upgraded to 3/4" advantech. I was not aware they used laminated joist, thanks for the info. On anot...

The home would be set in eastern KY so I would assume a 30# roof load would be sufficient but I thought if the 40# roof was structurally stronger that it might benefit me with any sagging roof line problem in the future.
