You may be best to call or email the manufacturer. However my experience is "follow the directions" and thing usually work out the best.

Re: Gallatin Cimarron
Most of the cross over connections are at the back below the marriage line. However in the 1980's many of the homes had one main panel in the master closet closest to the utility connection and then a second sub panel for the "B" side either on the back of the home or inside another master...

Re: wind code
Manufactured homes are built specifically for zones. The zones are different throughout the United States. Requirements for snow load, insulation and other issuses change depending on the zone. Depending on the age of the home you might look in the toilet tanks. If they are original you might be able to get an idea. If there are the colored toilets like harvest gold, almond green, pink, or blue they might be original. If they are white they may have been replaced. You might also look for a...

Re: Foundation
There are many after market or at time of installation "permanent foundation" products. They have varying costs and installation requirements. SureSafe is just one of many. All permanent foundations must be "approved" by HUD in order to get the permit for the installation of the ...

Re: REMODELING
I learned the hard way not to try to remove the vinyl paper from the panels. If you peel it, whats left is residue from the glue and if you sand that, it rolls up in little balls. In my experience the easiest solution is slightly roughing the surface, not through the vinyl, then apply the primer and...

You may want to consult with a couple of insulation contractors. Added blown in or other insulation in the attic cavity may be part of a solution. Also if you have single pane windows or possible air loss situations like gaps in doors, floors, or other openings these will need to be sealed. A/C ahd ...

Re: what's with all the negativity about our product?
I've been doing mobile/manufactured housing inspections and remodel and repair, in a coastal area, since 1975. There has never been a better time to buy and remodel a m/h in our area. As far as negative commentary on our industry, I lived in a mobile for 10 years, my brother is presently living in a...

I agree with David in the above post. Removing the existing framing for the roof is not for the amature or even some of the "experienced" contractors. You'll definately need approved engineering and permits. The cost and time may outweigh the benefits. You already have a 5:12 slope the lit...
