Why " 1 by" sill plates?
Why do most manufactured homes use a 1 x 4 or 1 x 6 sill plate when they make loud claims of their 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 Exterior wall construction? Why do they not overlap athe lower sheet of OSB/Plywood to the joist instead of installing the filler strip?

American Wholesale Homes
In my research online, I ran across this site: http://www.americanwholesalehomes.com/index.php
The only online info I have been able to locate is a bunch of web based advertising, Does anyone have any info regarding deals with them, who their manufacturers are etc.

Besides the Clayton website, where else can I view detailed photos of the various aspects of construction?
Not interested in Fluff and Bling pictures, more on Flooring systems, insulation, ductwork installation etc. Thanks

Re: sunshine- manufactured homes
I purchased a 1997 Sunshine Doublewide. Issues: 1. Roof Shingles started to come off in < 2 years. Just on the hitch end, seems to be transportation related IMHO 2. 2'-0" Floor joist spacing with no knee joists, makes for a springy floor 3. 10K in damage to kitchen, LR & DR caused by improp...
