What are the advantages of a metal over a shingle roof or vise versa? We have seen both now. The metal I think is called a gaviline and is often avalible in colors?

Hello, new guy here. Were close to deciding on our next home but I was looking at the floor plan tonight and got concerned. Our power pole would be on the opposite end of our new home for electrical entry hookup. Is this a real problem? Too late to call the lot so I thought id ask here.
