Ordered the recomended book it should arrive late next week. Am looking foward to reading it although I have read that the information is somewhat dated.

Thanks.David I will be getting a mfg. home in 6-12 months and will be trying to gather all the info. I can during that time so I can make the best decision possible and will be asking a lot of questions. thank you again.

home inspections

I've seen several posts saying that you should get a used home inspected by an inspector. This seems very logical. How could I become an inspector? Is there training available, is it expensive, and what are the possibilities of getting a job if you can get training? THANKS

Would appreciate recomendations about which is best, buying a piece of land and then getting a mobile or going for a land & mobile deal from a dealer? Any and all response welcome.

part time job

Have been thinking about getting certified as a mobile/Mfg. home inspector here in Texas. I'm retired and would be interested in this as a part-time job. I haven't checked on the cost yet but if I took the training how hard would it be to get into this type of work? Thanks
