hi, I think the post to read was merely suggesting that if you replace your heat tape with a thermostat type you would not have to deal with plugging and unplugging the tape since it will adjust itself (turn on/off)according to weather conditions...

Hi, not sure what part of Northeast NY you are in...we are in NY as well but more towards NE of Albany....we have done quite a bit of driving over the past several months in search of the best deal for homes closer to our location. There is a dealer in Fort Edward that has nice single wides...though...

Thanks, yes, my bad, I actually didn't word that correctly...what I meant at the time for 'home only' was that I wasn't looking to buy a home with land because I already had land. Hi lyndalee, when you say the owners mortgage is assumable ...can you clarify ? We already have land so we are looking for a ' home only 'with set-up deal. We've been looking at repos through a certain finance company but not really happy with their prices ...especially since they claim they finance...

Thanks rmurray, by the way, our local bank told us that a doublewide is not a manufactured home .....anyways, we will fill out the ' Home Only loan ' contact paper here...looks promising. Thanks again.
