Financing

Does anyone know where I can get financing for a used mobile home in massachusetts? My bank said they do not finance these and probably most banks won't either. I had a phone call from a finance company but that will be between 7.5 and 8.5%.

Can Any one tell me who I can go to to get a loan for a used manufactured home? It is on a concrete foundation on a full basement with it own water well on one acre of land. The owner wants to sell out right to me and not go thru a realitor. This is in Wyoming. I have been to several lenders and alot of them will only finance the house, not the land. The home is a 1977.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in upstate new york and have made about 4 calls to ads on the web. None of them came in below 7.5.. I contacted a local credit union and they will do 7 percent for 20 years. this is for a bramd new built home with land lease.

Good luck in your search.

Looking for financing options for a used mobile home in Massachusetts can indeed be a challenge, especially with the limitations some banks may have in offering such loans. However, there are still avenues worth exploring to secure the funding you need.

One option is to consider working with credit unions or local lenders that specialize in mobile home financing. These institutions may have more flexible lending criteria and a better understanding of the mobile home market, making them more likely to offer financing for your purchase.

Another route to explore is financing companies that specifically cater to mobile home buyers. While the interest rates may be slightly higher, as you mentioned, ranging between 7.5% to 8.5%, they may provide the financing you need when traditional banks cannot.

Additionally, it's worth reaching out to organizations like Ted Home Care, which may have insights or connections in the housing finance industry. They might be able to point you in the direction of reputable lenders or offer alternative solutions to secure financing for your mobile home purchase.

Lastly, don't overlook the option of seller financing, where the seller acts as the lender and provides financing directly to you. This can sometimes be negotiated, especially if you're purchasing the mobile home from an individual rather than a dealership.

In conclusion, while financing a used mobile home in Massachusetts may present its challenges, exploring alternative lenders, seeking guidance from organizations like Ted Home Care, and considering creative financing options can help you achieve your homeownership goals.
