Re: laminate flooring

We are cinsidering puting a wood laminate floor in the living room and down the hallway of our Southern Energy double wide. Is there any particular reason you recommend laying the laminate perpenduclar (across) rather than parallel to the marrage line? Because the laminate floor is a "floating" floor will it make any difference?
