My mobile is about 1974 . It has insulation , plastic then a board that seems like cardboard on the very bottom .I take it this is not bottom board as it tears like a heavy piece of paper .Should I just take this out all together if I redo the underbelly ?

Flooring insulation falling down
Some of my insulation below the floor is falling down . Where can I get the correct information on how to properly re-insulate underneath a mobile home ?

Being this is a older mobile I have already took the old paneling and the insulation out . I am looking at putting new insulation and drywall back up . Talking with various people I am getting different opinions about this vapor barrier !

Wall insulation
Putting in new insulation in walls . Do I need a vapor retarder on the inside ( Visqueen ) if I use paper faced insulation ? Would it hurt to have both ? Live in central Florida .

Any problems if I go ahead and add support piers around the outside perimeter directly underneath the outer walls to add support ? I would then add sheeting on the outside .The 2x4 walls look to be about 15" on center .How often would I need to consider adding supports ?

Have a 1974 double wide 24x60 . The home has 2x4 exterior wall construction with aluminum horziontal siding on the outside . Would I be able to tear the siding off and put 3/8" sheeting on and then rough cut cypress board and batten siding on .I had the home re-leveld and some extra supports ad...
